SciVida Leaders Honored at Awards Ceremony in New York City

NEW YORK, Nov. 3, 2023 – SciVida leaders Rachel Clare, Partner, and Julia Hoina, Principal, received Women Leaders in Consulting awards last evening at a ceremony and dinner held by ALM/Consulting Magazine at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square.

Also attending the event to honor these SciVida leaders were Jeff Liepman and Kevin Barnett, Managing Partners and firm co-founders, and Kiely Flanigan, Chief People Officer.

Consulting Magazine honored Rachel, who is known for her outstanding ability to serve clients and achieve high satisfaction, in the category of Excellence in Client Service. When asked what advice was the best she had ever received, consulting or otherwise, Rachel said, “Be intentional—with your time, your focus, and your career.” In addition to setting realistic goals and timelines, Rachel points out that also setting realistic boundaries is key. “Having the personal discipline to deliver on your own promises to yourself will help to ensure your consulting career is sustainable and goals achievable.”

Honored in the Future Leaders category, Julia tackled a similar question with equally wise counsel. In response to the question of what advice she would give a female consultant just starting her career, Julia advised, “Because management consulting is a field composed of high-performing individuals, it’s so easy to compare yourself to others; my advice would be ‘try not to.’” She added that everyone’s path is uniquely theirs and instead of focusing on the external, she encourages women to focus on what they can do to reach their personal and professional goals.
