SciVida Principal Recognized as Top Consultant

RALEIGH, NC, April 17, 2025 – SciVida is pleased to announce another industry award among its stellar team. Chris Barger, PhD, Principal in the firm’s Research Triangle Park headquarters, has been named a 2025 Top Consultant by Consulting Magazine.

A rising leader in the life sciences consulting industry, Chris has established a proven track record as a sought-after project manager, career mentor, and organizational leader by empowering and supporting team members across the firm. He navigates seamlessly between details and the bigger picture, demonstrating subject matter expertise, presence, and gravitas with clients, and has spent the last several years building trusted advisor relationships with them. For these accolades and more, Chris is being recognized in the Top Consultant award category of Excellence in Client Service.

As a testament to this recognition, Chris’s clients have described him as highly engaged, collaborative, and strategic, as well as unflappable and a pure joy—all actual words they have used when submitting direct qualitative feedback through SciVida’s formal client satisfaction survey program. Chris’s numbers tell the same story, with exceptionally high ratings across all quantitative measures as well.

In addition to his client work, Chris has made pivotal contributions to SciVida’s growth, fostering a collaborative, engaging, and fun office culture and spearheading numerous internal initiatives. Chris has a unique ability to create meaningful connections with people, from developing deep, trusting relationships with clients, to coaching and mentoring team members, to attracting top talent through earnest and impassioned conversations with candidates. Whether he is wearing his client services hat, staff development hat, or his recruiting hat, Chris is the consummate “Top Consultant.”

Chris pivoted to consulting immediately following completion of his doctoral program in chemistry at Northwestern University, where he also completed an intensive program at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management that culminated in a certificate in management for scientists and engineers. For Chris, incremental discoveries in the laboratory were exciting but what motivates him on a daily basis is being able to see tangible impacts of scientific research on peoples’ lives. Working in life sciences consulting with an elite team of like-minded individuals who share in this enthusiasm and at the forefront of innovation helping clients solve tough challenges bridges that gap for him.
