SciVida Welcomes New West Coast Partner

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 12, 2024 – SciVida is pleased to announce Sean O’Malley has joined SciVida as a Partner in the firm’s San Francisco office.

The newest member of the senior leadership team, Sean brings both breadth and depth of experience across the full gamut of life sciences consulting, from project oversight and delivery to business development to client account management and trusted advisor relationship building with biopharma companies of all sizes.

Sean’s expertise spans commercial strategy, pricing and market access, and business development, and while he is well-versed in a wide array of client business needs, key project types include portfolio strategy, competitive differentiation, demand assessments, positioning and creative campaign testing, US and ex-US pricing and contracting strategy, revenue forecasting, mergers and acquisitions transaction support, and outsourcing, among others.

Sean began his career in the laboratory conducting bench research in molecular and cellular biology before completing his MBA and pivoting to the business world. On top of working in life sciences consulting for nearly 15 years, Sean spent three additional years at a leading biotech company in a market planning role, so Sean brings a unique perspective to client engagements having worked on both sides as well as in the science itself.

Sean is known for building strong teams from the ground up, with deep involvement in talent strategy and recruiting as well as in training consultants in key consulting tools and methodologies for strategic analysis, qualitative and quantitative market research, revenue forecast modeling, and data analytics.

Sean earned a bachelor of science in biology and a bachelor of arts in history, both with honors, from the University of Texas at Austin and his MBA with concentrations in both finance and strategy from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
